Our story — the rhythm of a day
Lumen opened in 2016 on Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 120. Beograd had fewer restaurants running from early morning then. We started serving breakfast at eight and stayed on that schedule.
The rhythm of a day
Mornings bring guests heading to work. They sit twenty minutes, ask for coffee, eggs, toast. Afternoons hold lunches in pairs. Evenings open celebrations, organized dinners, sometimes a business meeting that runs past midnight. The room doesn’t empty all at once.
What changed
The menu has been re-cut three times since opening. Biftek stayed — that’s the dish guests remember us by. File brancina and pancakes too. We added black risotto, Caesar salad, Tartar eggs. Tradition isn’t an excuse to leave nothing in motion.
What didn’t
The table service, cutlery, the way a table is set — we don’t change those. Guests notice even when they can’t name the difference. That’s our signature.
See you in the room.
